    This procedure to setup permissions on computers and servers that run Medisoft, Lytec, Clinical or MD should be performed on every computer. 1.      Adjust the folder view options if this has not been set before    a.      Click on tools in explorer and folder options    b.      Click on View    c.      Select all the top options on Files and Folders from Automatically search to Do NOT Cache          i.      Select show hidden files and folders, uncheck hide extensions, uncheck protected operating systems files          ii.    Click launch folder windows in a separate process          iii.    Uncheck Remember each folder’s view and Use simple file sharing          iv.    Click on Apply to All Folders and OK 2.      For desktops and server modify the folder permissions for all of these folders:    a.      In the C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication Data or the C:ProgramData on 2008 servers          i.      Lytec folder          ii.    McKesson Corporation          iii.    McKesson folder          iv.    RM1610 or other RM#### folder    b.      C:Program FilesLytec 2011    c.      C:Program FilesMcKesson 3.      Adjust permissions with these steps:    a.      Right click on each folder, select properties, click on Security tab    b.      If the Everyone group is not in the list, click Add, type Everyone in the box, click Check Name and click OK    c.      Highlight Everyone and change it to Modify permissions in the lower section    d.      Click Apply    e.      Click on Advanced    f.        Uncheck Inherit from parent the permission entries, click copy    g.      Keep the Administrators, System and Everyone group. Remove the other groups in the permissions entries list    h.      Click the replace permission entries box and click OK. Click Yes and OK
