In order to create a custom fee schedule for importing into Lytec, it needs to be a comma-delimited text file (*.txt), with the following fields:Year, Carrier Number, Locality, CPT Code, Modifier, Non-Facility Fee Schedule Amount, Facility Fee Schedule AmountThe field names themselves should not appear in the file. A line needs to be created for each combination of CPT code, carrier number, locality, and modifier, so every CPT code will likely have several lines in the file. You must put quotes around each field, and they should all be separated by commas, as in the following example to import a fee schedule in Lytec 2015 or Lytec 2015 :"2015","09102","03","71130","  ","0000037.74","0000037.74""2015","09102","04","71130","  ","0000038.66","0000038.66""2015","09102","99","71130","  ","0000035.41","0000035.41""2015","09102","03","71130","TC","0000025.32","0000025.32""2015","09102","04","71130","TC","0000025.67","0000025.67""2015","09102","99","71130","TC","0000023.50","0000023.50"In this example, we are importing just one CPT code (71130), for carrier 09102 and localities 03, 04, and 99 (Fort Lauderdale, Miami, and the rest of Florida, respectively), with no modifier and also with the TC (technical component) modifier. Please note that, for the 'no modifier' option, we still need to create the data field with two spaces (wrapped in quotes, as with all the other data fields).  I am attaching a test file so you can see what it should look like if you open it in Notepad.Once the file has been created, run a backup of the Lytec practice, then go to Lists -> Standard Lists -> Fee Schedules -> Import Fee Schedules, and in Import Fee Schedule, browse to the text file that was created.  The current RVU conversion factor can be obtained from the American Medical Association.  Select the practice into which you are going to import the fee schedule, then log in to it as SYSTEM.You can now either create a new Lytec fee schedule or overwrite/augment an existing Lytec fee schedule.  (If you create a new one, you have the option to base it on an existing fee schedule.)  Once you are ready, click the Import button.  When the import is complete, you will get a popup window telling you how many fee schedule detail records were added and/or updated into your Lytec database.
