There is a “Print Grid” button at the bottom of each of the list screens in Medisoft. If you click on this, you can modify which fields you do or don't want to be included in the printout, and you can also choose to save the list to a file instead of printing.
Robert GabrielKeymasterIf you notice while entering a new patient in Medisoft that the city that comes up for the ZIP code entered is incorrect, you can manually change it in that patient entry screen before saving, and that new city will be associated with that ZIP code for all patients created from that point forward once you save the new patient. Unfortunately, however, the patient list will not be updated based on that new association, so existing patients that had the wrong city name will still be wrong. Correcting the existing patients is possible but would require some database work in Advantage SQL; please feel free to call us for more information if you're interested in having us do this for you.
Robert GabrielKeymasterRobert had mentioned to me that he was able to work with you and address the issue, Gabi. I'm glad we took care of this for you!
Robert GabrielKeymasterI've been meaning to post that Robert D. Was able to fix my Medicare. There was some issue where when Revenue Mgmt was updated, it changed something “back” in the guts. We haven't had the problem since. 😀
Robert GabrielKeymasterMike, there isn't a simple method of importing patient demographics data into Medisoft. It can be done, but it involves setting up an ODBC driver and manipulating the data in Access or something similar. This is something we could do for you if you were interested; feel free to call Microwize Technology at 800-955-0321 and press 1 for a healthcare technology consultant to give you more information.
Robert GabrielKeymasterThanks, I shall have to do it the hard way then. You would have thought that the data for each case would be unique and therefore not carried over to a new case.thanks,Mike
Robert GabrielKeymasterThanks. It worked for 13 of 15 submitted.
May 29, 2012 at 1:45 pm in reply to: First Time Installation of Medisoft Pro 17 from a weblink #41948Robert GabrielKeymasterIf you are installing Medisoft v17, then download and run the Medisoft v17sp2.1 (Web install). If you purchased the Network Professional (for more than one concurrent user), then you will also need to download and run Advantage v10.
Robert GabrielKeymasterHow exactly did you transfer the data from the existing practice into the new one?
Robert GabrielKeymasterHi, Mike. There is no way to have Medisoft automatically remove the hospitalization dates from the Condition tab of the patient's case after the claim is created, saved, or sent; the simplest solution would be to create one case for POS 11 claims and another (using Copy Case to save time) for the other places of service, so as to avoid sending the hospitalization dates on the office visit claims. If you are using Revenue Management to submit your claims, we might be able to create a custom solution to flag the claims with POS 11 before submitting, so you could correct them and avoid the rejections. If you'd be interested in such a solution, please contact one of our healthcare technology consultants at 800-955-0321 for more information.
Robert GabrielKeymasterGabi, I will make some inquiries internally and have someone get back to you early next week. I'm not certain that that is the final answer, either, so I'll see what I can find out for you regarding the direct module for Medisoft. As far as the CAPTCHA verification, I know they can be difficult to make out sometimes, but unfortunately we've learned from experience that it can be very easy to have a forum inundated with spam otherwise. I believe that after you've made ten verified posts or so, you'll be able to post without having to go through the CAPTCHA. Sorry for any inconvenience!
Robert GabrielKeymasterI have called in. I was basically told that since Medicare is moving away from the Direct Module, and towards electronic transmissions via clearinghouses, there was less available (not sure what the word is) “spots” to call in on, and it's now basically a crap shoot. I'm not quite accepting this as the correct answer, but I am extremely upset that I have not been able to get my claims in to Medicare. PS - The verification (below) when trying to post... It's very difficult to make out some of these letters.
Robert GabrielKeymasterThe login password may have changed (or need to be changed), or the system itself may have changed and require different responses from the module than what was initially programmed. If this issue is ongoing, I would advise calling in for support so one of our technicians can investigate further.
Robert GabrielKeymasterNewer versions of Medisoft have a “Patient by Insurance Carrier” report (Reports -> Standard Patient Lists); you could use this to find out how many patients have Medicaid as a primary carrier, then compare that number with the total number of patients in Medisoft to determine the percentage. However, this number may not be completely accurate with regard to the stimulus requirements. Your Regional Extension Center can assist you with getting a true picture of your demographics. Feel free to contact Microwize Technology if you want us to contact them on your behalf.
