You can have 12 ICD per claim because sometimes each line needs different ICD codes please see attached example .

Respond:Well that’s funny. I read your response and I don’t understand… it really makes no sense why I would bother to put up to 12 codes in a claim but need to uncheck them so only 4 are attached to a procedure code.
This new medical world seems a bit insane to me.

Yes Medisoft version 19 or 20 are ready for more than 4 diagnosis. You can have up to 12 diagnosis regardless of you are sending electronics or paper, however each CPT code can have only 4 diagnosis or pointers but the claim can have up to 12. This is not a limitation to the Medisoft or the clearinghouse this is the way claims work.

    Dr. Aamodt,
Medisoft is using a mapping library I think was made by CMS. it will only app any codes that is available in that library. Extended codes where not included. My recommendations:
    1. If you are using EMR the EMR will help you with the coding.
    2. You can use external App as I recommended in the Medisoft ICD-10 white paper.
    3. Buy Codes On Disk it includes all the codes about 75,000 ICD-10 codes.
    4. Buy Encoder Pro.

Dr. Amodt, I am not a coder I am not qualify to answer this question. Said that if I use my external app I recommended on my Medisoft white Paper I will find the following for 839.08 S13.101A or the extended code S13.100A

Stewart, the NDC number needs to be entered in the CPT code (Procedure/Payment/Adjustment Codes list) in the National Drug Code field, and once it is there, it will be transmitted automatically with new electronic claims.  If the transaction was created before the NDC code was entered, you can bring up the transaction in Transaction Entry from Medisoft and click the Details button to assign the NDC code to that particular line item.  If you need further assistance, please call 800-955-0321 and select option 2 for technical support.

Checking the Update and Delete boxes next to Appointments in the Audit tab of Medisoft's Program Options will allow you to run audit reports showing when appointments are modified or deleted.  However, my testing indicates that an appointment that has been changed to a different patient will not be included in the audit reports, under either the original or the new patient chart number.  Sorry I don't have a better answer for you.

The Advanced and Network Professional versions of Medisoft 17 do have that “Print Grid” button and functionality, but you are correct, the Basic version does not.  Our Microwize technicians can export and print these various lists for you; please call 800-955-0321 if you would like us to help with this.

I don't believe that that print command exists in ver 17 Patient Accounting. If it does it is not showing up in my version. By the way do you know how to print out the list through the advantage DB?Mike

Hi Mike. Medisoft doesn't have a printable list of referring providers with their NPI. You can contact Microwize Technology and request a custom list of referring providers at 201-3224100 Option 2.With the custom list you are going to be able to export it to excel.

Hi Allison. If you go to Activities - Statement Management, once the windows is open, you have the option 'Create Statements' (with a green plus symbol). That option allows you to print a group of statements that have not been created and also you can select the type of statement and range of dates. Just make sure you select the correct information of what you want to create. Now, if you leave the range blank, means you want to create everything that has not been created. You can run this every morning, and you don't have to spend time going to each patient.Hope this to be helpful for you.

The Advanced and Network Professional versions of Medisoft will let you print groups of statements in Statement Management (under the Activities menu).  You can select the date of service (Date From) and the statement total range in the data selection questions, as well as several other criteria. If this isn't quite what you were looking for, please feel free to call Microwize support at 800-955-0321, option 2 for further assistance.
